I have a couple of new positions available in the Red Rock Consulting SQL Services team:
- SQL Server Support DBA. (Sydney)
Senior SQL Server support DBA required to join our support team. Our Support roles are technically demanding, requiring time/change/technical management of operational SQL Server support across potentially thousands of instances of SQL Server. Technically you will know SQL Server 2000 inside out, and have made clear in-roads into skilling up with SQL Server 2005 (we are managing several hundred 2005 instances in various capacities). Though most of this work will be done from our Sydney support centre, with the travel and onsite time typically low, clear customer communication skills are essential.
SQL Server Consultant (Sydney or Melbourne or Auckland)
Technically brilliant, customer facing, SQL Server consultant required. We are looking someone who knows their stuff from a SQL Server perspective, and is as comfortable and confident defining project scopes, writing business facing documentation and discussing project barriers with client management, as with partitioning tables and optimising query plans. We require someone who can turn business requirements into technical solutions. We have customers everywhere so expect to travel quite frequently around Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
About Us
Redrock is a successful consulting company with around 250 consultants. As an organisation we do SQL Server, Oracle and People soft. Red Rock is owned by the public company UXC (www.uxc.com.au). We have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland & Wellington.
Our customer focus is medium to large organisations using SQL Server in mission critical roles. Our client list contains many Australian and New Zealand household names across all industries. Our purpose is to deliver specialist experience to organisations with existing DBA teams, and to those who have trusted us with the management of their database environment. As such we do a lot to ensure our staff are highly trained in SQL Server, with in-depth internal training sessions happening on a weekly basis for example. If SQL Server is your thing, I have tried to make this a great place to be.
If you are keen, or know someone who is keen, please feel free to send me a CV: tony@tonybain.com
